In a press release, Entone, Inc. announced that Telekom Srbija has selected Entone’s Amulet HD IPTV Receiver with digital video recorder (DVR) capabilities. The Serbian telecom provider is going to leverage this technology for its national high-definition (HD) IPTV rollout.
In order to be able to offer a full line-up of advanced communications services, Telekom Srbija makes continuous investment in the deployment of next-generation technologies. The company was planning to expand its service offering to include new application and for this the company was looking for a reliable and flexible solution for delivering high-quality video services. Because of the technological advantages of Entone Amulet, it has been finally selected by the Serbian company in its roll out of the emerging service for a growing subscriber base.
“We are pleased to be partnering with Telekom Srbija, an innovative and industry leading operator. We look forward to supporting them as they introduce new advanced services to their users,” CTO at Entone, Mark Evensen, remarked in a statement.
In the release, Entone said that a live demonstration of the Entone Amulet IPTV Receiver can be seen at IBC in Amsterdam at the Entone stand (Connected World, hall 13, IP-266).
Last week Entone announced that Malta’s first quadruple play operator, which is planning to offer an integrated telecom solution, has selected Entone’s Kamai Hybrid OTT receiver for its nationwide IPTV and interactive online (OTT) deployment.
Kamai makes installation and setup hassle-free. It integrates with existing home networks and broadband services via its integrated Ethernet or (optional) Wi-Fi connection. Kamai’s USB port offers service providers the flexibility to deploy digital video recorder (DVR) services while providing subscribers convenient storage options without additional truck rolls, Entone explained in an earlier press release.
