Serbia has wealth in the field of mining and energy, which is measured on a global scale, said Zorana Mihajlovic as a guest on the morning program of TV Happy, and added that in the next period her task will be to regulate this area, it is stated on the Ministry’s website.
– I go back to what I did for 20 years and what I got my doctorate on. On the other hand, we have done a lot in construction, traffic and infrastructure, and I am leaving my successor a fully organized ministry with many of new projects, and I will be there for every kind of help. I’m used to it, I come, do it, fix it and move on. There are many challenges in the mining and energy sector, especially when we talk about gas and oil pipelines, and we have to think about Serbia in 2050, and not just now – she said.
Mihajlovic, who will be the Minister of Mining and Energy in the new government, pointed out that energy security is very important, above all that we have enough electricity, gas and oil derivatives.
– If you are not energy safe, then you are sensitive, and that entails other consequences for the state. I will work on having quality electricity, enough derivatives, to deal with renewable energy sources, but also technologies that are used and new investments. I want to see satisfied and happy faces of workers, and miners, and engineers, and on the other hand satisfied citizens, whether it is about electricity and gas bills, quality of service or energy security – said Mihajlovic.
She reminded that in her mandate, she managed to make Serbia the ninth in the world in terms of issuing construction permits, that 350 km of new highways were built, more than 550 km of railways were reconstructed and that projects worth billions of euros were launched, eKapija reports.
