Serbia’s priority is the efficient implementation of railway projects

The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic, talked today with the Acting General Director of the Infrastructure of the Serbian Railways, Nebojsa Shurlan, and the management of that company about the projects that are being realized on the railway.
“Serbian railway infrastructure is implementing the largest and most valuable railway projects, from the construction of the first high-speed railway in this part of Europe, through the reconstruction of sections on railway Corridor 10, to the reconstruction of regional railways. It is very important that the company realization of projects, both current and new, which will be realized in the next period,” said the Minister.
She pointed out that it is especially important that the works on the construction of the Belgrade-Budapest high-speed railway go according to plan and that the first trains on the sections from Belgrade to Novi Sad will be in traffic in the fall of 2021.
Shurlan said that they are working on raising the level of traffic safety and that new investments are planned in the arrangement of road crossings, Novi Magazin reports.
