Visit by Sheikh Mohammad Al Zayed and his associates to the Kopaonik Mountain resulted in numerous agreements over investing by companies from Abu Dhabi in our country. Apart from finalization of earlier agreements related mainly to investments in agriculture, this time a step forward was made in agreements on construction of the cargo center and entering of the national carrier JAT Airways into the Etihat, Blic learns.

The Crowned Prince has spent three days on a private visit to the Kopaonik at the invitation by Serbia Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic. He came with his closest associates in order to finalize numerous agreements over investing by the United Arab Emirates in Serbia. Serbia Minister of Finance and Economy Mladjan Dinkic joined them on Thursday while Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic on Friday upon return from his visit to London.

As Blic learns all agreement regarding Al Dahra’s investing in Serbian agriculture have been precisely detailed. It has been also agreed that Minister Dinkic signs in Abu Dhabi in the last week of March an agreement worth 300 million Dollars.

Serbia has also applied with the Abu Dhabi Development Fund for 100 million Dollars required for construction of new infrastructure for water supply.

The JAT Airways management shall travel together with Dinkic to Abu Dhabi. The partners from the Emirates have been told that the JAT does not have sufficient number of planes but they do not see it as a problem since they are intensively cooperating with the Airbus. On the other hand the fact that the JAT has outstanding pilots is an advantage as per the Etihat’s opinion since our pilots would be engaged on flights covered by the carrier from Abu Dhabi.

Talks with representatives of the Mubadala have also been scheduled for the last week of March. Apart from investing in the JAT Technique which is expected to become a regional center for repair and maintenance of civilian planes, this company is very much interested in construction of a factory worth about four billion Dollars.

Private investors from Abu Dhabi are also very much interested in construction of a huge cargo terminal of general purpose at the Nikola Tesla Airport. It would be primarily used for transport of fresh fruit and vegetable manufactured at farms in Vojvodina.
