108 companies have applied to participate in the “My First Salary” program, which aims to give 10,000 young people their first work experience and find permanent employment more easily, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today and invited other companies to join in this program.
“Companies can participate in the program until September 25, and young people will apply from October 1 to 15,” Brnabic told TV Pink.
She reminded that the state invests 16.6 million euros in the project from the budget.
As previously announced, employers who are interested in participating in the program will publish specific job positions on the My First Salary Portal until September 25, and then from October 1 to 15, all interested candidates will be able to apply for one of the positions.
Unemployed young people up to the age of 30 with completed secondary education are provided with a monthly financial compensation in the amount of 170 euros during the nine months of the program, while for those with completed higher education the compensation amounts to 200 euros.
The funds will be paid directly to the young people included in the program, through the National Employment Service, and in addition to the amount paid by the state, employers will be able to pay additional funds, Novi Magazin reports.
