The realization of the project “Southern stream” through Serbia will commence as planned, in December this year, confirmed director general of the Srbijagas company Dusan Bajatovic. He has stated that the real works will start in the first half of the next year, and that by December 2015 the “Southern stream” will be completed.

According to Bajatovic, the agreement envisages that Serbia is to provide approximately one third of 1.7 billion euros for this project. The construction works in Serbia will employ some 4,000 workers in the following two years, and according to the gentlemanly agreement, the companies from Serbia will be delivering part of the equipment and doing the construction works, specified Bajatovic.
