Sumadija in Serbia achieved the largest regional surplus of 315 million euros

The total foreign trade exchange of the economy of the Sumadija administrative district in the first ten months of this year amounted to around 1.584 billion euros.
The export was realized in the value of 949.3 million euros, the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Kragujevac announced.
Regionally observed, from the beginning of the year to the end of October, the economy of the Sumadija administrative district recorded the largest foreign trade surplus in Serbia, amounting to over 315 million euros.
The main export products of the forestry economy are still passenger cars, sets of conductors and cables, electrical appliances for switching on or off electrical circuits, integrated electronic circuits and microassemblies, plastic pipes and hoses, parts of rail vehicles, furniture and parts, parts, accessories for motor vehicles…
The director of RPK Kragujevac, Predrag Lucic, says that, despite the difficult business conditions, the foreign trade surplus of the economy of the Sumadija administrative district in the first ten months of 2020 recorded an increase compared to the same period last year.
In the first ten months of 2020, the economy of the Sumadija district exported to 96 countries around the world. Most were exported to the markets of Italy (exports to Italy make up 25.5 percent of the total exports of the Sumadija district), followed by Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Significant export growth was achieved in the markets of the United States and the Republic of Korea.
The Sumadija economy imports the most from Italy, followed by South Korea, Germany, Poland, China, Hungary, Turkey, Romania and the Czech Republic, Danas reports.
