The Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (SCC) announced today that the growth and recovery of the economy requires the support of the state and the chamber and large companies in order to mitigate the consequences caused by the corona virus pandemic.
The statement of PKS after the meeting with the representatives of “Matis Group” states that without stable growth of large companies, especially those which, like Matis, are the bearers of the development of the entire area, there is no successful development of small companies and enterprises.
“Large companies solved problems during the pandemic by relying on their own sources, but they need support for further growth. PKS will continue to work actively on creating proposals for support measures for large companies to support their investments, facilitate business in the country and abroad, remove obstacles to continue exports, as well as enter new markets,” said Marko Cadez, president of PKS.
The owner of “Matis Group” Dragomir Lazovic announced that the company plans to open four new production plants in the coming period, three of which in Ivanjica and one in Kragujevac, and that the investment “needs a company that is responsible for the development of the entire Ivanjica region”.
As he pointed out, these are plants for the production of panel furniture and components for mattresses, which will employ about a hundred new workers.
The company Matis, which has been successfully producing furniture for 25 years, employs more than 1000 workers and is one of the pioneers in the introduction of dual education, was presented with support options for this investment, as well as the use of current assistance programs of the Serbian Development Agency,” it is stated in the announcement of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Danas reports.
