The Minister of Mining and Energy, Zorana Mihajlovic, said that a public call would be announced tomorrow for subsidizing the installation of solar panels for the production of electricity for their own needs.

“The program will be implemented according to the same model as when we had a public invitation to replace the carpentry, which means that 50 percent of the money is provided by local self-government units and the Ministry, and 50 percent is paid by the citizens themselves,” Mihajlovic said today.

She added that it is planned to announce another public call for the replacement of carpentry by the end of the year, and that next year there will be several public calls for subsidizing the installation of solar panels.

“There is no reason not to use green energy and not to do everything to be more efficient in the use of electricity and heat, and public calls should contribute to that goal. We want to see more solar panels on the roofs of buildings and houses in the next few years and to use green energy more,” said Mihajlovic, Beta reports.
