Today, the Government of Serbia passed the Decree on the quota in the market premium system for wind power plants, in order to increase the use of energy from renewable sources and create a competitive market for the production of electricity from such sources.
According to the statement, auctions are planned for granting the right to incentives to power plants that use renewable energy sources.
“Auctions will be conducted on the basis of quotas prescribed by the government, in accordance with the needs of Serbia for such new capacities from renewable energy sources. The right to participate in the auction have power plants that are not small plants (power plants with an approved power of more than 500 kilowatts and wind power plants with an approved power of more than 3 megawatts) or demonstration projects. The government has set a quota for only one type of power plants that are subject to incentives, ie wind farms,” it is stated.
The statement adds that due to the new system of incentives and mechanisms for granting the right to incentives, the first auction should be conducted by the end of 2021, in order to test and apply in practice all institutes and procedures provided by the new Law on Renewable Energy Sources.
At today’s session, members of the Government passed the Decree on unique technical-technological requirements and procedures for storage and protection of archival material and documentary material in electronic form.
The decree will, as it is stated, create a complete legal framework that will ensure complete protection and preservation of archival material originally created in electronic form and storage of that data in the future.
The government also decided to redirect part of the unspent funds allocated for organizing an event to the purchase of minibuses for the needs of transporting the rural population on the territory of Serbia, due to the Covid-19 epidemic and epidemiological measures related to the gathering ban.
At today’s session, a decision was made on the formation of the Commission for the Application of International Accounting Standards for the Public Sector, which will be provided with professional and administrative-technical support by the Treasury Directorate of the Ministry of Finance, Nova reports.
