The Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia finances energy efficiency by municipalities

The Ministry of Mining and Energy has sent a public invitation to cities, municipalities and city municipalities to apply for projects to improve energy efficiency and modernize public lighting in their territories, it was announced today.
For the money from the Budget Fund for the improvement of energy efficiency, projects for the improvement of the thermal envelope and the thermotechnical system of buildings, the installation of solar collectors for the preparation of hot water, and the modernization of the internal lighting system of buildings and public lighting can apply.
Support for municipal projects from devastated areas will be up to 100 percent, while for other local governments up to 70 percent of the value of reported projects has been offered, and the maximum amounts are 160 thousand euros.
The Ministry offered up to 20 percent of the value of the project and a maximum of 25 thousand euros for the projects of modernization of public lighting.
The deadline for submitting projects to the Ministry of Mining and Energy is November 12, Dnevnik reports.
