The location of the old cattle market in Ljubovija will soon get a new purpose. Namely, as stated in the Draft Plan of Detailed Regulation for the Old Livestock Market Complex, which is on public inspection by the Municipality of Ljubovija until December 12, this area, although spatially and infrastructurally meets the needs of the livestock market, is not in that function due to livestock reduction and need for the livestock trade, so it will be equipped for commercial and service facilities.
The plan envisages the construction of roads on more than 4 hectares of land for access to the future complex and communal and infrastructural arrangement and equipping of the space, for the purpose of building commercial and other facilities for the needs of service activities.
– The area needs to be prepared for “greenfield” investments that would attract potential investors, which would lead to more dynamic economic growth and development of the municipality of Ljubovija, ie commercial and service activities in Ljubovija to strengthen local economic development activities by improving business infrastructure – the planning documentation states.
In the zone of commercial and service activities, which is located next to the main road Mali Zvornik-Ljubovija, it is planned to build a complex of tertiary (service) activities, service trades, production trades which additionally condition unique or limited production, smaller warehouses of construction materials, and it is also possible to build facilities intended for public services, traffic and infrastructure areas, as well as smaller sports facilities and green areas, eKapija reports.
