The Universe project encourages the growth of the startup community in Serbia

Congratulations to the University of Belgrade and Mozzart, we supported this initiative because we want to keep young, creative and professional people in Serbia, and for them to expand their businesses to the planetary level, said the Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development at the opening of Bootcamp.
The successful launch of startups requires great support from the state, academia and the private sector, and 15 innovative teams received it all as part of the Universe project! The startup accelerator, launched by the University of Belgrade and the Mozzart company, was officially launched at the Mona Plaza Hotel, and the three-day Bootcamp was opened by the Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development, Branko Ružić.
Innovators from 15 teams: iMo, Master, Hours, SportUp5, Inclusio DOO, VALLTERA Technologies, Trex Serbia, Klik Cash, EasyPass, Poduhvat Team, Pet Travel Advisor Solutions, Dragon in green technology, SOMA BioWorks, C Technologies and Perun lab, will have the opportunity to improve their knowledge through a series of professional lectures, and a commission composed of representatives of the Ministry of Education, the University and Mozzart will select the best startups on Thursday, which will receive 5,000 euros and many more opportunities.
“The Government of Serbia and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development support such initiatives because digitalization and development of the economy based on science, creativity and new technologies is one of our key priorities. All this says how much we want to keep young, creative, professional people in Serbia. The policy of this Government is to create conditions for all of them to make careers in their country, and to expand these businesses to the planetary level. Congratulations to the University of Belgrade and Mozzart on this great project that I believe will encourage the growth of startups through a mentoring program and investments and have their help in further development. The road to success is not easy, but I believe that your business path will be successful with the help of this program,” pointed out Ružić.
Teams with the best startup ideas will be able to use the Coworking space in the center of Belgrade for free and will get a chance for a bigger investment because Pitch is waiting for them with investors at the end of the program.
These include: portable lab, home business platform, application that connects athletes with business partners locally, platforms for the disabled, data storage programs, innovative vehicle, time saving applications, private lesson platform, renewable energy device , application for pets, innovative biological materials, machine learning technologies.
At the opening of Bootcamp, they were addressed by the General Manager of Mozzart, Slobodan Prodanović.
“We also started as a kind of startup. The development of Mozart’s information system started from a garage in Zemun with several developers, vision and maximum commitment. We developed the system that is the basis of our business and which we are very proud of. Mozzart is regional today. We have expanded our business to three continents, we employ more than 6,000 people around the world and we do not plan to stop there. We continue to provide you with support, not only financially, but also to transfer rich knowledge and experience to you. We all want you to make your dreams come true and reach the world market. In Mozzart you will have great support,” Prodanović emphasized.
Let us remind you, the mission of the Universe project is to provide the necessary skills and tools, the best business education of a team of as many as 50 experts from the country and the world who will help with their expertise in further growth and development of old people.
