As an international association meeting destination, Serbia has been ranked 46th in the latest report by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), with a total of 67 meetings of international associations held last year.
The 2014 ICCA Statistics Report was published Monday and this is the fourth year in a row that Serbia is among the world’s top 50 destinations when it comes to congress tourism.
As for the category of cities, Belgrade is ranked 50th, with 50 meetings, in the same rank with Montreal, while Washington, Oslo and New York had one to three more meetings.
ICCA based its rankings on a survey of qualifying events – events that are organized by international associations with at least 50 participants, take place on a regular basis and rotate between at least three different countries.
