We have to build overpasses over the future fast railway Belgrade-Novi Sad so that people in the bar have uninterrupted communications, and until that is done, the railway will not be released, said the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirovic in Banovci. He announced a program of large investments in environmental infrastructure, which will bring a wastewater treatment plant and 55 kilometers of sewage network to Stara Pazova and Indjija.
“We are building the railway that will be the fastest in Eastern Europe. We must not allow that to disavow local communications, we must build overpasses. Two or three weeks ago we were in Batajnica and we calmed people down, explained to them that we will not let the fast railway until we will not build an overpass until we provide you with communication,” said Tomislav Momirovic during the tour of the works on the overpass in Stara Pazova and the road to Banovci.
He added that on the stretch from Belgrade to Novi Sad, 65% of the gross domestic product of Serbia is created, and that is why local roads must not be neglected.
“Our goal is not to prevent the free flow of people in Stara Pazova and Batajnica and everywhere on the stretch from Belgrade to Novi Sad, because we are doing all this for the sake of the citizens,” Momirovic emphasized.
The Minister added that a program of large investments in environmental infrastructure has been made, which will bring a wastewater treatment plant and 55 kilometers of sewage network to Stara Pazova and Indjija.
“If we finish the design quickly, if we solve all property and legal relations, we can do it in a year and a half to two years, and Stara Pazova and Indjija will no longer have problems with wastewater,” Momirovic pointed out.
Extremely important construction of sewerage infrastructure
The president of the municipality of Stara Pazova, Djordje Radinovic, assessed that the announcement of the construction of the sewerage infrastructure is extremely important for the citizens of the two municipalities.
“That is the most beautiful thing we could hear. I thank the Minister, the entire Government and, above all, President Aleksandar Vucic who always had understanding for Stara Pazova and brought a large number of companies here. In 2012, we had about 9,500 citizens in permanent employment, and now 25,000 people are employed,” Radinovic emphasized.
He added that documentation is being prepared for the reconstruction of the Stari Banovci-Krnjesevci road that connects the E75 and Zagreb-Belgrade highways, and that a competition will be announced in a month, RTS reports.
