From the budget funds of the Ministry of Economy, which were intended for subsidies to private companies in order to mitigate the consequences of the pandemic, about 1.8 million euros were transferred to the budget reserve.
The money from the budget reserve was then allocated to the Ministry of Defense in order to provide the missing funds needed for the construction of the hospital with up to 600 beds with accompanying infrastructure, access facilities and connecting roads in Novi Sad.
It should be reminded that less than two weeks ago, a total of 11.6 million euros, was transferred from the budget of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Economy for the construction of the Covid hospital in Novi Sad and access roads.
The cornerstone for the Covid hospital in Novi Sad was laid at the end of April this year, and then it was announced that it should be completed in a “very short time”, by September 1.
On that occasion, President Vucic also said that “we already have money in the budget” for the construction of this hospital, Nova Ekonomija reports.
