Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic Wednesday thanked German companies for recognizing that Serbia had a decent business environment and for creating 5,000 new jobs over the previous three years and a total of 30,000 over a longer period.

We have news of plans to set up new firms with German capital this year, and we are opening a fish processing facility in Smederevo in a few days, Vucic said during the first session of a dialogue within the framework of German-Serbian initiative for sustainable growth and employment in Belgrade.

“We have not had a factory of this kind in Serbia. In the beginning, it will deal with imports and processing of salmon and later with processing fish from domestic supplies,” he said.

We need applied knowledge, which would guarantee companies profit, and jobs and income to employees, and help here can come from Germany, Vucic said.
