The 42nd Building Expo opened in Belgrade on Tuesday, bringing together over 500 exhibitors from 24 countries.
The construction industry is posting excellent results. Last year, the value of construction works increased by over 25 percent, Serbian Construction Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said, declaring the expo open.
“After two years, I have reasons to be proud as we have moved forward. It is not enough, but we have the results that illustrate that we have worked on several fronts at the same time,” Mihajlovic said.

According to statistical data, the number of issued building permits from March 2015 to the end of the year was 29 percent higher than the average figure in the last seven years, the minister said.
