During a state of emergency resulting from COVID-19, appropriations intended for other purposes may be diverted without delay into the current budget reserve.
It is envisaged that they can be used for the purpose of alleviating the effects of the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, according to the Decree on the Use of Financial Resources of the Serbian Budget during the State of Emergency, adopted and published on March 20.
The Government of the Republic of Serbia will make a special decision on the use of the budget reserve, the Regulation states.
“The provisions of this Decree shall not apply to the diversion of funds to the current budget reserve and their use for other purposes”, the Decree, signed by the Government of Serbia and the President of Serbia, states, B92 reports.
