The Serbian government has confirmed the decision on the minimum wage

At the session of the Government of Serbia, the proposal of the Ministry of Labor on the minimum price of labor for 2021 was adopted, it is stated in the announcement.
The decision refers to the minimum labor prices for the period January – December 2021, and it determines the amount of 1.5 euros (net) per working hour, which is a total of 280 euros.
The amount of the minimum labor price for this period was determined based on the analysis of parameters performed by the Ministry of Finance.
It is an increase of 6.6 percent in relation to the minimum from 2020, so it is higher by 16 euros.
The decision was reportedly made in order to keep jobs and preserve economic activities in the conditions of the COVID-19 virus epidemic.
Minister Zoran Djordjevic said that “he will not give up on the goal” that the salary will be 900 by 2025, and the pension 440 euros, Nova Ekonomija reports.
