As of tomorrow, the draft plan of detailed regulation for the work zone Stajkovce and Glozane is on public view in the Municipality of Vlasotince.
As Marinko Djordjevic, the head of the Department for Urbanism and Economy of the Municipality of Vlasotince, said for eKapija, it is about 60 hectares that will be equipped for investors in the continuation of the existing industrial zone at the entrance to the city.
“A dozen domestic and foreign companies are already operating in the industrial zone, including Leskovac brickyard Mladost and Italian textile workers Gruppo Fiorentino. Now the municipality is expanding the work zone, among other things because investors are interested in expanding production. Some of them have expressed intention to build new plants, such as two companies from the automotive industry that already operate here, the German Gruner and the Slovenian Elrad,” says Djordjevic.
He adds that the municipality has included the plans of interested investors in the planning documentation of the working zone Stajkovce and Glozane, and that, when the adoption of the plan is completed, it will have a basis to issue building permits for the construction of new facilities.
From now on, he says, local farmers have expressed their intention to expand their business to the processing of fruits and vegetables.
When it comes to infrastructure, the Municipality of Vlasotince, which two days ago adopted the budget for next year worth 7.6 millione euros, according to Djordjevic, plans to invest in the construction of sewers and wastewater treatment, expanding waste management capacity, but also in tourist infrastructure.
“Next year, the construction of sewerage for suburban settlements and larger villages in the flat part of the municipality is planned. Also, project documentation for the construction of wastewater treatment plants is currently being prepared, and project documentation for the construction of smaller sewage collectors is planned and the scope of garbage collection and removal to nearby villages,” Djordjevic said.
He adds that the municipality will also deal with arranging the banks of the river Vlasina, so next year the plan is to arrange the beach on the artificial lake with the construction of public toilets and other accompanying facilities, for which the project has already been done, B92 reports.
