Construction of highways and strengthening of the Serbian economy

President Aleksandar Vucic stated today that the realization of many important infrastructure projects is imminent in Serbia by the end of the year, and among them are as many as seven highways and expressways.
At the press conference, after the session of the Government of Serbia, Vucic said that he hoped that an agreement for the construction of the Pozega-Boljara highway would be signed by the end of the year, which would be important for the citizens of Novi Pazar, Ivanjica, Arilje, but also for all who travel to Berane.
Vucic stated that the beginning of works on the construction of the Fruska Gora corridor is expected, but also that by the end of the year, at the beginning of next year at the latest, the construction of the highway and fast road to Pozarevac should begin, then from that city to Veliki Gradiste to Donji Milanovac.
Among the upcoming works, he adds, are two other important highways, namely Zrenjanin-Belgrade and the “Karadjordje” corridor in Sumadija.
At the moment, the president reminds, the Kuzmin-Sremska Raca highway, the Moravian corridor from Cacak through Krusevac to Pojat, the Cacak-Pozega highway, as well as the Ruma-Sabac-Loznica highway are being built.
When it comes to railway traffic, Vucic said that at the end of the year, and in January and February next year at the latest, we will drive from Belgrade to Novi Sad for 27 minutes.
He also pointed out that the state is buying Spanish, Chinese and Swiss trains that will run on that route, and in which there will be good service with food and drinks.
Vucic expressed hope that an agreement with Chinese and European partners on the construction of a sewerage network in 85 or 90 local governments in our country will be signed on February 9.
Talks are also being held, he adds, with Chinese and European partners regarding the construction of a high-speed railway from Belgrade to Nis.
He also points out that the first phase of the Clinical Center of Serbia will be completed by the end of the year, and that the new KCS building will be completed next year, Srbija Danas reports.
