The Strategy of Scientific and Technological Development of Serbia was adopted

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development announced that the Strategy of Scientific and Technological Development of Serbia for the period from 2021 to 2025 “Power of Knowledge” was adopted at the Government session.
The goal of the strategy is to enable the development of Serbia, as well as integration into the European research area, through the improvement of the scientific-technological and innovation system. Investments in new science and technology parks, centers of excellence and institutes are also planned.
– The strategy of scientific and technological development enables the continuation of the started reforms in this area and brings measures that will provide the necessary conditions for the dynamic development of science, research and innovation – said the Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ruzic.
It is planned to further strengthen scientific research institutions and invest in infrastructure in order to be recognizable at the regional and European level and able to solve complex problems independently.
Representatives of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, the Association of Serbian Institutes, the Conference of Serbian Universities, the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, the Innovation Activity Fund, the Science Promotion Center, and the Science and Technology Park participated in the strategy and consultations. Belgrade and other eminent scientists.
An integral part of this strategy is the Action Plan for its implementation for the three-year period from 2021 to 2023, it is stated in the announcement, eKapija reports.
