Two tons of gold were delivered to the National Bank of Serbia

The company “Srbija Zidjin Copper” announces that it earned 698 million dollars last year by selling its products on the domestic and foreign markets. More than two tons of gold were sold to the National Bank of Serbia.
The company earned the most foreign exchange from the sale of 70.6 thousand tons of cathode copper, so the turnover of “red” metal with foreign countries alone, where 54.3 thousand tons of cathode were placed, amounted to 340.4 million dollars.
At the same time, 16.2 thousand tons of cathode copper were delivered to the domestic market, and on that basis, the Company earned 101 million dollars.
The largest buyers in the foreign market were China, Bulgaria, Turkey, Croatia and Italy.
Last year, the company earned an additional 245.7 million dollars by selling other goods – gold, silver, platinum, palladium, selenium and copper sulfate, and almost half of that money was received from the National Bank of Serbia, which delivered 2,056 kilograms of gold.
In the same period, 15.4 tons of silver were exported to China for 10 million dollars, while 11 kilograms of platinum and less than one hundred kilograms of palladium were sold in Switzerland, with a total value of about seven million dollars.
Almost a thousand tons of copper sulfate, worth 1.7 million dollars, were sold on the domestic market in 2020 and exported to Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bulgaria.
In January 2021, the sale of goods in the amount of 65.6 million dollars was realized, the most from copper 58.4 million dollars, while the National Bank of Serbia was delivered one hundred kilograms of gold, which contributed additional millions of dollars in sales revenue, RTS reports.
