The Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Tatjana Matic, and the Minister of Digital Administration of Greece, Kyriakos Pierakakis, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two ministries in Athens today on reducing international tariffs for electronic communication services in roaming, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications announced.
Matic assessed that the signing of the Memorandum represents a clear determination of the two governments to influence the reduction of roaming prices “for the mutual benefit and satisfaction of citizens”.
Based on the signed Memorandum, the line ministries will encourage public mobile electronic communications operators in Serbia and Greece to reach mutual agreements regarding the permanent reduction of international wholesale tariffs, which will be reflected in the reduction of the retail price of calls, text messages and roaming data, it is stated in the announcement, Danas reports.
