The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, said today in Belgrade in a conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, An Linde, that Sweden’s support for Serbia in European integration would be a good signal for the citizens.

That would be a good signal for the citizens of Serbia to join the European Union,” the prime minister said.

Linde, who is chairing the OSCE this year, assessed that Serbia has made progress in the reforms, but that it is still necessary to work on their implementation, the Government of Serbia announced.

She added that Sweden is investing more and more in Serbia, that bilateral relations are good and that it supports the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina with the mediation of the EU.

Prime Minister Brnabic conveyed “personal commitment to work in the field of media freedom and the safety of journalists”.

Speaking about the constitutional changes, the Prime Minister told her interlocutors that the Constitutional amendments were in the parliamentary procedure, and that the end of that process was expected at the end of this year, which required a wide public debate, with previously respected remarks by the Venice Commission.

The meeting was also attended by the Ministers of Justice and European Integration, Maja Popovic and Jadranka Joksimovic, Novi Magazin reports.
