Serbian citizens have invested 27.5 million euros in real estate in Montenegro

Since the beginning of the year, foreign citizens and companies have invested a total of 599.86 million euros in business in Montenegro. In first place are the Russians with 95.56 million euros, in second place are the Maltese with the same amount as at the end of May, of 70.35 million, while in third place are the Serbs who invested 27.53 million euros. Investments of Serbs and Russians are mostly focused on the purchase of real estate.
According to the Central Bank, there is a growing trend of investment in real estate in Montenegro, and this year was the largest investment in real estate on an annual basis since 2014.
Out of almost 185 million that foreigners invested in real estate, the citizens of Russia gave the most money, almost 38 million.
Comparing this and last year, investments increased by 93.07 million, while compared to 2019, they are lower by 63.18 million euros.
The citizens of Germany invested around 18 million euros in real estate, while the investments from the USA and Switzerland amount to 12.8 and 11.18 million euros, respectively. Citizens of Great Britain, Turkey, Ukraine, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, the Czech Republic, Belgium and Austria gave between three and six million euros for real estate, Nova Ekonomija reports.
