Sales of used imported cars in Serbia have increased this year by 10 percent compared to last year, and one percent compared to 2019, according to a survey presented today on the site “Used Cars”.
The representative of “Used Cars”, Romana Ranković, said that the prices of used cars increased by an average of 16 percent compared to last year, and 23 percent compared to the year before the pandemic.
As she explained, the reason for the increase is the reduced supply of new cars due to the lack of microchips for their production.
Ranković said that the survey on the impact of the pandemic on the used car market showed that sellers believe that the main challenges are the increase in car prices on the foreign market and the decrease in demand, while buyers find it harder to decide on purchases because the further course of the pandemic is uncertain.
According to the analysis of the site “Used Cars”, the average buyer in Serbia allocates from three to five thousand euros for the purchase of a used car, Danas reports.
