Serbia’s informal milk sector – accounting for around half of the country’s overall production – is hampering efforts to join the European Union, a competition watchdog has warned.

The sector is slowing down the process of adapting to the Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) rules and access to EU agriculture development funds, says Serbia’s Commission for Protection of Competition (KZK) in a new report on the situation in the country’s dairy market.
