Minister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection Zorana Mihajlovic and new United States Ambassador to Belgrade Michael Kirby and his associates met yesterday to discuss investment opportunities of American companies in Serbia’s energy and environmental protection sectors.
The Ministry says in a statement that Kirby voiced his interest in investment opportunities in renewable energy sources, the use of biomass for energy production and projects which will help to increase Serbia’s energy efficiency.
Mihajlovic and Kirby agreed to hold meetings from time to time to share information regarding the energy and environmental sectors, primarily in order to enable American companies to invest in these remits, but also to exchange experience and increase the efficiency of Serbian companies, the statement adds.
