The city of Vranje has leased 206 square meters of public land to Solarbelt for the development of two solar power plants, each with a capacity of nine megawatts. The lease agreement, signed by Vranje Mayor Slobodan Milovanković and Solarbelt director Zoltan Tamas, covers a 30-year period. Solarbelt will pay 438,000 dinars per month, providing a significant revenue boost for Vranje’s budget.

Mayor Milovanković expressed satisfaction with the agreement, noting the challenges faced in reaching this milestone. He also thanked Solarbelt for their persistence. Construction of the solar power plants is slated to begin in 2025, with the director of Solarbelt proudly announcing that Vranje will host the largest solar power plant in Serbia.
