The Turkish company Jeanci Istanbul, which is engaged in production of high-quality textile, is going to start a trial production in Serbia, in a rented space of former Leteks plant in Leskovac. Nenad Cvetkovic, a representative of the company that operates within Julteks Sistem, says that they plan to buy one of the ruined textile factories and employ 500 textile workers. Julteks ended the last year with a profit of 11 million euros. People at that company find Leskovac an interesting environment because of the tradition of the textile industry and cheap manpower.

– They have their brands and their partners are the world-famous brands Cavalli, Ferre, Versace, Scotch & Soda… Denim trousers made in Leskovac will soon be offered to all fashion centers in Europe, as well as in Russia and China – says Cvetkovic and adds that Jeanci owner Taner Bujukcan will be staying in Leskovac next week to start the trial production together with the first group of textile workers. For start, Bujukcan will be working in the rented space of Leteks plant.
