An increasing number of passengers and cruisers are expected in Serbia

The Minister of Construction spoke with the Mayor of Zemun, Dejan Matic, about the realization of the project of construction of an international port in Zemun.
Mihajlovic emphasized that the international port in Zemun is an extremely important project for Serbia because it will contribute to the increasing number of passengers and cruisers arriving in the country.
“The state has been investing a lot in water transport in recent years and that investment is about 350 million euros. Our goal is to put Serbia back on the map of water corridors and we will contribute to the completion of this project. The ministry is here to provide all the necessary support and assistance”, she said.
Construction of the international dock in Zemun began in the middle of last year, with the project worth 1.5 million euros, according to a statement from the Ministry of Construction.
Matic said that the project had been waiting for decades and that with its completion, Zemun would strengthen its potential in terms of tourism.
The meeting was attended by City Secretary for Inspection Sonja Bozovic and the directors of the Port Agency and JVP “Beogradvode”, B92 reports.
