China’s Hangzhou Timing mulls factory in Serbia

Chinese anti-theft devices maker Hangzhou Timing has expressed interest in the construction of a factory in Mali Zvornik, in western Serbia, the Mali Zvornik city government has said.

Hangzhou Timing is interested in opening a factory in Mali Zvornik, where it plans to hire about 200 employees, predominantly women, the general manager of the Chinese company, Richard Wang, said in a statement by the Mali Zvornik city government on Thursday.

Apart from employees with secondary education, the company would also hire highly educated staff, Wang said during a meeting with the mayor of Mali Zvornik, Zoran Jevtic.

Investors in Mali Zvornik can receive incentives of up to 2,000 euro ($2,400) per hired employee, Jevtic said in a statement.

Hangzhou Timing produces safety products, such as pull boxes, display holders, alarm systems and sensors as well as Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems, according to data from its website.
