The University of Belgrade (UB) and the Science and Technology park IHIS Zemun have created a database to strengthen links between academic institutions and industry, which could help increase Serbia’s economic growth rate, representatives of the two institutions told a press conference Tuesday.
The ‘Science2Business’ base is really a place of cooperation between science and the economy, said UB Vice-Rector for Science Ivanka Popovic, adding that the university could be the strongest partner to the Serbia and Belgrade economy.
Access to the database is free of charge on the website of the university’s technology transfer center. Information can be found there regarding research institutions, programs they are developing and research techniques.
The database, created to bring science and the economy closer to each other and establish research and development cooperation with industrial and academic partners at home and abroad, also contains a list of services offered by UB-member higher education schools and institutes.
In charge of the realization of the project is the Science and Technology park IHIS Zemun, and representative of the institution Marko Rakin said the database was regularly updated with new data.
