The draft law on electronic invoicing, which systematically regulates the area of sending, receiving and storing electronic invoices, will be presented at today’s session of the Government of Serbia, announced the Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali.
He stated on his Instagram profile that the Bill follows the best practice of switching to electronic invoicing applied by EU countries.
“It improves the transparency, legal security and consistency of the legal framework that regulates the field of electronic invoicing,” said Mali.
He points out that the use of the electronic invoicing system will be free of charge and that this will not create additional costs for its users.
Also, the Minister stated that the law will enable savings in the time needed to work with invoices, because the need to issue, receive and keep invoices in paper form disappears.
He explained that the time savings will be realized also because the search for electronic invoices requires less time than the search of paper archives, Kurir reports.
