The Egyptian economic and political delegation, led by the Minister and Governor of South Sinai Khaled Fuda, and the Egyptian Ambassador to Serbia Al Juvali, talked in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce with the advisor to the President of the SCC Miroslav Miletic and the owners of domestic travel agencies.
Miletic pointed out that PKS has a very fruitful cooperation with the Egyptian Embassy and Ambassador Amr Al Juvali and emphasized that Serbian agencies that take tourists to Egypt also offer interesting destinations in Serbia, such as spas, lakes and mountains that can be very attractive to Egyptian tourists.
– It is important to point out that foreign investors who are ready to invest in tourist places in Serbia, especially spas, can count on the strong support of local and state authorities. That is the reason why, as a traditionally friendly country, we invited you to exchange experiences and open topics on which we can cooperate for mutual benefit – Miletic emphasized, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia announced.
– Air Serbia, which flies to the resorts of Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, records an increase in the number of charter flights during the summer season. That is the reason to believe that cooperation in the field of tourism between Serbia and Egypt is on the rise, with the expectation that Serbia will also be attractive for Egyptian tourists – said Miletic.
The Ambassador of Egypt in Belgrade, Al Juvali, assessed that the potential for economic cooperation between the two countries lies in the fact that Serbia represents the door to the Balkans, and Egypt, with a large number of consumers, the gateway to Africa and Asia.
– We have numerous good economic interstate agreements. Minister Selakovic will soon visit Egypt and sign new protocols on cooperation in agriculture, energy and other fields, but it is obvious that tourism is an economic activity that can bring us even closer culturally and strengthen our friendship – said Al Juvali.
He reminded that the plane from Belgrade to Cairo can be reached in less than three hours, and added that if only 50,000 Egyptian tourists come to Serbia, it can be very important for the Serbian economy and tourism.
– That is why the high delegation led by Governor Fuda includes investors who have very developed experiences in the field of tourism and can help the development of Serbian tourism – concluded Ambassador Al Juvali.
Minister Fuda expressed satisfaction that he met with the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, and that the visit of the delegation he leads can improve the economic cooperation between the two countries.
Fuda pointed out that seven investors willing to invest in spa and medical tourism and real estate arrived with him from Egypt, eKapija reports.
