The ELPROFA project, funded by the European Union in partnership with the Serbian government through the EU PRO program, aims to open a prototype workshop at the Faculty of Electronics, which will provide an opportunity for small and medium enterprises to produce prototypes and small production series locally.
According to the website of the Electronic Faculty from Nis, “the workshop will enable students and researchers of this institution to get acquainted with additive manufacturing and the process of prototyping, while ELPROFA will additionally provide assistance in technology transfer to all interested researchers.”
Within the project, machines for additive manufacturing were procured, and a manual for making prototypes will be created.
– ELPROFA will cover additive manufacturing processes using the FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) and SLA (Stereolithography) processes, as well as the Thermoforming process – it is stated.
During the project, promotional events will be organized where interested parties will be able to get more information, as well as by sending inquiries to elprofa@elfak.ni.ac.rs, eKapija reports.
