The Government of Serbia made the decision on Friday (May 28, 2010) to allow the citizens of the EU countries to enter Serbia with ID cards.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia suggested that the citizens of the EU countries, as well as Switzerland, Norway and Iceland, should be enabled to enter Serbia with valid ID cards. – I am sure that our decision will contribute to strengthening of mutual trust and that it will be well-received by the citizens and political structures in these countries – said Ivica Dačić, the Minister of Police, and pointed out that that decision would not endanger our country’s security.
