Fiat announcements on the development of production in plants in Serbia and Turkey

After the launch of a robust investment plan in the Italian industrial system, we continue to shape our future with models to be produced at the plant in Poland.
As we announced in 2018, after Italy and Poland, the time will soon come to announce future developments in our plants in Serbia and Turkey, it is stated, among other things, in the letter sent by the CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Group (FCA) Pietro Gorlie just sent to part of the employees in the EMEA group (covering Europe, the Mediterranean, North Africa, the Middle East), which was, indirectly, delivered to our list.
It is obvious, Gorlie points out in the letter, that we are a global company and given that, two years ago, in November 2018, I clearly said, presenting the industrial plan, that after the announcement of projects for Italy we will subsequently work on those for other countries in which we are present in the EMEA region.
– The recent product launches that we have made, together with those that we will make, especially focused on electrification, are direct evidence of that. In this regard, I would like to thank everyone who has been involved – even in recent weeks – in launching production of the Jeep Renegade and Compass 4xe in Melfi and the electric Nuova Fiat 500 in Mirafiori. These important models are part of a market that is still volatile but is gradually beginning to recover. For this reason, meeting industry deadlines was vital to ensure that commercial teams had all the weapons they needed to deal with the market in the best possible way, Gorlije writes, noting that “we see orders for Jeep 4xes growing every day and press reviews are extremely positive; therefore, we are convinced that we have made the right choice. ”
He adds that the newspaper for the Jeep brand is not finished. Last week, the new plug-in hybrid Jeep Wrangler 4xe and the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer Concept were presented on a trial basis via a virtual digital press conference.
These are two very important models for the brand, which represent a further step in the process of expanding the range, even in the premium segments, as well as the determination to offer electric options on all Jeep models in the coming years.
It is also noted that we will be lucky to have the first Fiat 500 electric vehicles on the roads.
Abarth, according to Gorlie, will soon launch two spectacular special series – the exclusive Abarth 595 Scorpioneoro and the adrenaline-fueled Abarth 595 Monster Energy Yamaha – that best reflect the brand’s dual soul: style and performance.
These two special series will be presented to the international media tomorrow, September 18, through a virtual press conference.
Gorlie also writes to EMA Group employees about the failed attempts of General Motors (JM) to “disrupt the activities of the FCA”.
JM’s attempt in the United States to “revive an unfounded lawsuit against the FCA” was, according to Gorlie, completely unfounded, and as such, the judge twice completely rejected it.
The new report, recently filed, “is nothing more than a repetition of the same indecent and shameful accusations, which have already been found to be unfounded.”
At the same time, he points out, they were permeated by “absurd conspiracy theories about industrial espionage and double agents.”
– As Mike Manley (executive director of the FCA group – ZR) already mentioned in his letter sent a few weeks ago, it is obvious that these attacks are directly related to the success we achieved in the competition and victory where the most important thing is: market. The forces we have demonstrated over the past decade will be deployed even more efficiently to complete our merger with the Peugeot Citroen Group, it tells employees, Danas reports.
