Serbia’s Minister of Economy and Regional Development Nebojsa Ciric and Minister of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic marked in Indjija the beginning of construction of the first factory for the removal of waste from the meat industry in accordance with the highest environmental and safety standards of the EU.
This factory will be built by the Belgian-Serbian company Energozelena, which will employ about 100 workers. Energozelena will invest €21 million in this factory. Â
The Serbian government approved a RSD 300 million loan through the Development Fund for the construction of the factory and the purchase of necessary equipment, and another RSD 1 million should be earmarked for the next year, Ciric said.Â
