Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) has hired Energoprojekt Entel and the Economics Institute to estimate the value of the company’s property, it was confirmed at the company to Beta today. As they say, the agreement on the estimate of EPS’s property was signed this July, and the deadline period for the completion of the job, which will cost RSD 34 million, is eight months.

It hasn’t been said what the purpose of the estimate is.

The estimate of EPS’s property is one of the requests by the EU, which has asked the public enterprises to define the value of their property by early 2017, as well as the ownership of immovable property and land for which the public enterprises only have the right of use, whereas the owner is the state.

The restructuring of EPS is currently in progress, in line with the arrangement with the International Monetary Fund, and it is still not known how many redundancies there will be and how high the severance payments will be.

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said that EPS was the most valuable state-owned enterprise and that the minority share in the company would probably be sold.
