French companies interested to invest in agricultural production in Serbia

Serbia’s Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Snezana Bogosavljevic-Boskovic met in Paris, before the start of the International Fair of Agriculture with French Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food of the Republic of Slovenia Dejan Zidan and Minister Agriculture, Food and Forestry of the Republic of France Stephane Le Foll. The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection states that Bogosavljevic-Boskovic and Zidan agreed during the meeting in Paris that the two countries should intensify their cooperation in various sectors.

They also agreed that joint efforts should be invested in projects aimed at using the EU pre-accession funds.

In a meeting with the French Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, cooperation in the field of food safety was proposed.
France gave clear support to Serbia in the process of European integration and help with the use of EU pre-accession funds.

They concluded that the interest of French companies to invest in agricultural production in Serbia has increased, especially after the visit of Prime Minister of France Manuela Valls.

During the visit, Boskovic will take part in the conference on agriculture and climate changes and the role of public policies reports the Government.
