Minister of Agriculture, Trade, Forestry and Water Management Dusan Petrovic stated that fruit and vegetable production in Serbia has excellent prospects, voicing his expectation that in 2012 it will continue to make progress in this respect, as well as in grain growing and animal husbandry.

Opening a specialised fair of technology for growing, processing and storage of fruits and vegetables “FRUVEG Expo Balkan 2011” and an international exhibition of organic food and technology and processing equipment “BioBalkan Expo”, Petrovic stressed that Serbia has great potential to become a European leader in fruit and vegetable production, thanks to good its soil and climate.
