German-Serbian Commercial Association in Belgrade announced that the German School will move to new premises by spring 2013. However, as it is necessary to carry out extensive construction works so that the school could operate successfully, the Association has called upon its members to support facility’s reconstruction.

“We think the school needs our support because we also have interest in providing attractive schooling and education prospects both for our associates’ families and the Serbian public. It will also benefit Serbia to become an even more attractive business hot-spot”, reads the statement.

This school has become an important factor for German companies operating in Serbia and often a decisive factor for German companies when choosing the investment location. They strongly prefer locations which have schools for education of their children and their staff, so the new school will make Serbia and Belgrade even more attractive for German companies.

The school in Belgrade exists for 157 years and over time has educated many German expats’ children. Over the last couple years even Serbian families started educating their children in that school. The new premises should provide appropriate infrastructure for the upcoming generations.
