Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs Zoran Djordjevic met with Heineken Serbia CEO Nikos Zois, who addressed the ministry with a desire to donate 100 thousand euros for respiratory supplies due to the current epidemiological situation caused by the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Minister Djordjevic said that the state is doing everything to protect its citizens, provide them with the necessary care and save their lives, and that it will continue in the coming period, but that any donation and assistance is of great importance for the whole country.
– I am very proud that in Serbia we have socially responsible companies that do good business and take care of their people and community. With this help, I’m sure we will be able to get out of this period much easier and faster. I am grateful on behalf of the entire Government for this donation and I hope and believe that other companies will follow this example and thus help our Serbia and all its citizens – said the Minister.
Heineken Serbia CEO Nikos Zois said they sympathize with everyone affected by the disease and have decided to donate funds for additional respirators in hospitals.
– We look forward to future gatherings and gatherings that will surely come and much faster if we are all responsible and solidarity – he said, eKapija reports.
