The Serbian government announced today that representatives of the Serbian government and the delegation of the Microsoft corporation discussed directions of future cooperation and agreed on ways of arranging mutual relations. The basis of cooperation will be the central agreement between the government and this corporation, which is based on the government’s needs for software programmes that will be used in the daily operations of public administration, with full appreciation of software infrastructure that is currently in use in some of its institutions.

The government, after conducting the analyses, estimated that this approach enables additional savings in the budget, further optimisation of infrastructure capacity, raising the technological level of information systems and the creation of necessary conditions for the development of modern electronic services intended for citizens and businesses.
