In Serbia, 53 percent fewer tourists than in 2019

In the first half of this year, 780,785 tourists stayed in Serbia, which is 53 percent less than in the same period last year, the Tourist Organization of Serbia (TOS) announced today.
There were 515,164 domestic tourists, which is 42 percent less compared to the period January-June 2019, or 66 percent of the total number of guests, and 265,621 foreign tourists, 65 percent less compared to the same period last year.
There were 2,536,432 overnight stays, which is 44 percent less than in the period January-June 2019.
Data for June, compared to May, “inspire hope” – TOS estimated because in June, compared to June 2019, the number of overnight stays of domestic tourists decreased by 17 percent, which is a significantly smaller decline than in May – 76 percent.
In June, domestic tourists were most interested in Vrnjacka Banja, Sokobanja, Zlatibor, Tara, Divcibare, Kopaonik, Beta reports.
