In Serbia, credit growth in 2020 was 12 percent

At the end of 2020, the total loans of the economy, citizens and entrepreneurs in Serbia amounted to around 24.3 million euros, which is 12% more than the previous year, the Association of Serbian Banks announced.
Loans to the economy amounted to around 13.6 million euros and were 10.4 percent higher than in 2019, and to entrepreneurs 538 million euros, which is a growth of 20.4 percent.
The debt of the population to the banks increased by 13.8 percent, to about 10 million euros.
Among household loans, cash had an annual growth of 14.6 percent, consumer 7.8 percent, refinancing loans 10 percent, housing 13.6 percent, and agricultural 14 percent.
At the end of last year, 3.5 percent of total bank loans were in arrears, while at the end of 2019, there were 4.5 percent of them, BiF reports.
