Serbia is not interested in unreliable technologies either, on the contrary, it is in the interest of the tender for the introduction of the 5th network to be open and transparent, with respect for international standards, which includes the agreement from Washington, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today.
“I understand all the intrigues within some points of the Washington agreement, but our delegation did not have an easy task. President Aleksandar Vucic managed to keep the door open with all partners, without putting Serbia in an unenviable position to violate its norms,” Brnabic said, answering questions from journalists during her visit to Huawei.
She pointed out that our norms are open transparent procurement, in which all our partners are respected, reports Tanjug.
“We are not interested in unreliable technologies either. But, what we will introduce, when it comes to the 5th network, must be international standards, which are respected everywhere in the world,” stated Brnabic.
She said that the procurement, from which, she points out, we are still far, must be open, transparent and there must be no discrimination against any partner.
“That is how it will be, and that is not contrary to the agreement from Washington,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
She added that she also talked about it with the representatives of the Huawei company, and that both sides “absolutely the same” understood the point of the agreement that Serbia must have an open and transparent tender for partners, when the time comes for the 5G network, Tanjug reports.
